Long story short…

Active since 1998, Dr. Amok is recognized for his significant contributions to the world of turntablism and music production. Specializing in sonic experimentation blending futuristic bass, hip-hop, trap, and lo-fi, he creates immersive and innovative soundscapes. Driven by a passion for experimentation, Dr. Amok combines raw electronics, organic textures, and hypnotic rhythms to craft captivating compositions.

In addition to his musical work, Dr. Amok is also a graphic designer, expressing his visual universe through striking designs marked by his distinctive style.

In August 2013, he co-founded the Skratch Nerds community with DJ Odilon, aiming to bring together turntablism enthusiasts and promote this art form through various events and resources. Together, they co-founded the HSN Records label, under which they released iconic projects such as VNL Skratch Nerds Extended Beats (2021) and TR-1000 Looper Beats, showcasing their expertise and creativity in scratch music and innovative beats.

Dr. Amok has also collaborated with DJ Odilon on several projects, including Dr. Amok X DJ Odilon Skratch Beats and Robot Skratch DJ Tools, demonstrating a remarkable creative synergy. Their collaboration reached new heights with the album Astral Traveler, where the duo explored cosmic soundscapes and ethereal atmospheres.

In parallel, Dr. Amok has designed several loopers for DJs and turntablists, providing creative tools and practice resources tailored to the scratch scene. He is also the initiator of several artistic and musical projects under different aliases such as DJ Frank Drebin, Grand Funk Device, and Knuff, exploring various creative horizons.
